Megan began studying the violin at the age of eleven with various teachers and orchestra directors in the Northern Virginia Metropolitan area. She is currently a student at Virginia Commonwealth University. Although she has been a student of the violin for nine years, she has recently changed her main study to viola. The viola has become her main instrumental focus at VCU and her professional pursuit. She is active in many ensembles, the Virginia Commonwealth University Symphony Orchestra, VCU small ensembles, The VCU New Music Ensemble, Tidewater Intergenerational Orchestra, and The Northern Neck Orchestra. She currently studies with Dr. Alice Lindsay at VCU and maintains an active freelance teaching career.
